With the new announcement, Venture University aims to provide a strong foundation for individuals keen on a career in venture capital, private equity and angel investing.
Venture University’s investor accelerator program is specifically designed for individuals seeking high-quality investment experience. The program helps participants hone key skills such as raising capital from limited partners, deal sourcing, conducting due diligence and driving the success of portfolio companies.
The accelerator program entails working with VU Venture Partners, which is a multi-stage investment fund that backs companies in sectors such as fintech, healthcare and consumer. Participants can co-invest with premium investors and also earn via profit-sharing agreements.
The program’s flexibility has boosted its popularity. Individuals can choose to participate in the program either full-time or part-time. Irrespective of the duration, participants get the opportunity to be mentored by prominent industry experts including early investors in Facebook, Twitter and Uber.
Individuals can physically participate in the accelerator program at Venture University’s branches in San Francisco, Hong Kong and New York. Virtual participation is also an option. The Summer 2021 cohort will run from June 14 to August 27 in Europe and the US, and from July 26 to October 8 in Asia-Pacific.
Venture University has built a stellar track record in a short period of time. Around two-thirds of its graduates have been hired by an investment firm within a year of completing the program. With the new announcement, the investor accelerator is aiming to boost the prospects of more aspiring investors.
