During his time at Nashville School of Law, John volunteered his time with the Nashville School of Law Legal Aid Society. He was the communications director from 2018 to 2020. He is also a member of the Steering Committee for Nashville Community Influencers which was created to implement Tennessee’s first Diversionary Court for ages 18-30 named C.A.R.E. In June of 2018, John had the privilege of attending the week-long course at Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College Defense of the Damned in Wyoming.
